By leading with love and kindness we provide a safe and nurturing space for children to learn and grow.  When a child’s mind is safe and happy it gives a pathway to the brain to absorb and enhance learning.  Children watch all that we do.  We are their first examples while they learn how to communicate, move, and ultimately learn cognitively, socially, emotionally, and physically. Our responsibility at Our HoneyBee Academy is to model and teach behaviors encompassing all of these modalities. 

 

We strive to provide an environment that respects children and fosters the development of positive self-esteem.  We promote and support positive relationships with peers and adults.  Our interactions with each other, with their peers, and with their parents are always being observed.  It is our duty to model these interactions and behaviors for each child. We offer opportunities for children’s active exploration of their environment through play. A child’s natural state of learning is play. By providing opportunities for self-led play (learning) we give the children access to their creativity and individuality that erupts through exploration.
